Forklift Operator Team Member

​

United Freezer & Storage Company, a real estate and warehouse company is seeking a Material Handler and Forklift Operator team member in Austintown, Ohio.

 

Qualifications

  • Candidates should have a minimum of 1-2 years of warehousing experience

  • Certified Forklift Operator

  • Valid Driver’s License

  • Comply with all Food Safety & Food Defense requirements of the Company

  • Effective verbal & written communications skills

  • Ability to work effectively in a small casual family-oriented environment

 

Position Summary

Forklift operator will report to the Warehouse Manager to accommodate multiple customers’ warehousing requirements for cold and dry storage needs. This position is responsible for safely operating forklift equipment to load and unload various materials in a warehouse setting. The role will require communication and paperwork with drivers, as well as, attention to detail and the ability to navigate tight environments with inventory product. Individuals are always expected to maintain a clean warehouse. Standard shift is 7 AM - 3:30 PM with overtime opportunities and requirements as needed.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Safely and accurately load, unload, pull and store palletized and non-palletized inventory.

  • Coordinate with co-workers to ensure warehouse is accessible and safe for employee and customer traffic.

  • Mark material with identifying information using appropriate method.

  • Accurately record materials transactions and produce corresponding documentation.

  • Comply with and assist in future development of safety and food defense programs. 

  • May occasionally be assigned to cover remote location in Sharon, PA.

  • Assist with facilities maintenance duties as needed.

  • Keep organized and clean work areas.

  • Always follow proper safety requirements.

 

Contract position to start
